Salvatore is a strategy and operations executive with 10+ years’ experience leading the creation, implementation, improvement and transformation of initiatives and services in quality/regulatory driven organisations.

With an outcome focused and continuous improvement mindset, Salvatore is known for his strategic analysis and change management strengths, improvement to operations and collaborative approach in building strong stakeholder relationships.

Most recently, Salvatore led service optimisation and business operations for a global healthcare equipment manufacturer while also serving on two boards/committees in the education sector including a community Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Michael Ryan is a registered pharmacist, holds an MBA and is a Fellow (by examination) of SHPA.

He has been the project director or project manager of all PharmConsult’s projects since PharmConsult was established in 2004. He has conducted reviews of public and private hospital pharmacy services, hospital medicine management processes, medicine-related activities at a

variety of healthcare facilities, provided specialist advice to state and Federal health departments,  and managed request for tender processes for hospitals and health services.

Michael has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy services, including as a director of pharmacy in both public and private hospitals, pharmaceuticals distribution and pharmacy practice research.

Rosina Guastella, Specialist Advisor Pharmacy

Rosina (Rosie) Guastella has a wealth of experience in consulting, having worked as a senior consultant in the healthcare sector for more than 15 years, as well as specialised expertise in pharmacy and medicines management, derived from an extensive career as a pharmacist in the community, and private hospital settings.

Rosie has led and supported a broad range projects spanning pharmacy service design, evaluations, medication safety, compliance audits, tenders and procurement, contract management, benchmarking, and research. She brings a practical understanding of healthcare systems and their complexities and a collaborative approach to every project to ensure outcomes and deliverables are tailored for client needs.

Rosie’s previous experience includes being Regional Manager VIC/SA for one of Australia’s largest providers of private hospital pharmacy services and working on professional development and pre-registrant training programs for the WA and Vic branches of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

Now based in New Zealand, Rosie is able to include observations and learnings from New Zealand’s healthcare model to her understanding of healthcare systems.

Tony Chang, Specialist Advisor Pharmacy and Technology

Tony Chang has more than 15 years’ experience as a pharmacist in business management, medication management and consulting roles across a range of pharmacy and industry settings.

In that time, he has managed a broad range of projects, and developed expertise in areas such as pharmacy service model reviews, workflow and spatial planning and optimisation, legal, financial and NSQHS compliance auditing, performance management and numerous RFP projects for the procurement of pharmacy robotic systems, pharmacy services and pharmaceuticals for both public and private hospitals.
